JJ Institute of Medical Sciences (JJIMS) has been a proud organizer of several events that promote women’s health and well-being. On this International Women’s Day, a Symposium and Women’s Felicitation Ceremony was organized by IMA Bahadurgarh at Rajkiya Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Bahadurgarh. Dr. Jyoti Malik, the Medical Superintendent, JJIMS also the Secretary, Finance and Admin, IMA Bahadurgarh was instrumental in organizing the grand event that was based on the theme, ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. The Chief Guest of the programme, Shri R. C. Bidhan, IAS, D.C., District Jhajjar inaugurated the function by lighting the ceremonial lamp along with Mrs. Anita Gahlot, the Principal of the Government College, Bahadurgarh who presided over the ceremony.

This was followed by Saraswati Puja and the welcome address following which the Symposium was conducted in the presence of the honorable guests of honor, Mrs. Rachana Gupta, Add. Session Judge, Jhajjar; Shri Rohit Watts, C.J.M. cum Sec. DLSA, Jhajjar; Dr. Ramesh Dhankar, Civil Surgeon, Jhajjar; Mrs. Manisha Sharma (HCS) SDM Bahadurgarh; Mrs. Sheela Rathi, Chair Person, Municipal Council, Bahadurgarh; and Mrs. Pushpa Khatri (HPS) DSP, Rohtak.

The women awardees were felicitated by the esteemed guests and organizers who included dignitaries like Dr. Prem Punhani, President, IMA Bahadurgarh; Dr. Sharvan Bansal, Secretary, IMA Bahadurgarh; Dr. Jyoti Malik, Secretary, Finance and Admin, IMA Bahadurgarh; Mr. Satyander Dahiya, Member, S.D.L.S. Committee, Bahadurgarh; and Mrs. Sunita Chillar, Convener, Women Cell, Government College, Bahadurgarh.

The honorable Chief Guest, the Presiding Officer, and the Guests of Honor shared their views on Women Empowerment with an emphasis on the importance of educating the girl child. All in all, the event was a grand success. Hats off to Dr. Jyoti Malik whose painstaking efforts were much appreciated, making the event a memorable one.
