You must provide all relevant information on your medical condition, including scans, medical history, and current medication etc.If you have been referred to JJIMS hospitals by a doctor in your home country, please carry the contact details of the doctor.

Yes. You can contact the JJIMS hospital International Patients co-coordinator directly, with details of your medical history and treatment sought. Our International Patient Service Co-ordinators will recommend and also schedule an appointment, with an appropriate specialist.

Definitely. Once you have consulted the appropriate specialist, our Relationship Manager will give you a complete plan on the approximate length of stay at the hospitals and the total cost of the treatment, along with the necessary pre/post treatment care.

Once you confirm your visit to our facility for medical treatment, we will send a visa requisition letter to the Indian Embassy in your country. A copy of the letter will be marked to you. Please send us the following details via email if you want us to send a visa requisition letter to the Indian Embassy in your country:

  • Patient's name and passport number
  • Medical escort's name and passport number Country
  • Your tentative date of arrival at JJIMS Hospital for treatment

Note:

  • If you are traveling on a medical visa, you are required to register at the Foreigner’s Regional Registration Office within 14 days of your arrival. Our team will help you with all these formalities.
  • Patients from Pakistan and Bangladesh are required to register with the nearest Police Station or Police Commissioner’s office within 24 hours of arrival. Refer to your Visa/ Transit document for instructions.
  • Please bring 10 passport size photographs with you for the above formalities.

Before your arrival, our International Patients Services Team will send you the name and contact details of the staffer being sent to meet you. This person will escort you to the hospital or accommodation. If you are unable to find the person sent to pick you up, all you need to do is call our hospital helpline.

Stay at JJIMS Hospitals

You are required to produce your passport at the registration counter to get registered at our hospital. The hospital will maintain a copy of your passport (Photo page and visa page) in your hospital record. This is mandatory and is based on the directives from the Government of India.

Our team at the International Patients services departments will organise the services of a language interpreter who will be with you during medical interactions and help you communicate effectively.

You can keep our staff at the International Patients services departments informed and the necessary hotel accommodation arrangements can be made based on your budget.

At JJIMS Hospitals, your primary consultants and nursing team will be responsible for all your medical requirements whereas all your non-medical requirements will be met by our International Patients Service Co-ordinators.

Apart from the medical and nursing care providers, you will meet staff from the International Patients Services Centre daily as well as your dietitian and physiotherapist if medically required and the housekeeping staff who will be cleaning your room.

Your loved ones can reach you by giving the contact numbers of the hospital that you are in. Hospital telephone numbers are available in the Contact us section of this website. To make an International call you have two options.

  • Dial '0' from the phone provided in your room and dial your country code followed by area code and then the mobile or landline number.

Please note that all international calls are charged on pulse rates that vary with country and this will be added to your bill.

Yes, certainly. We will do our best to prepare and serve you a variety of choices of food as per your preference. However all dietary presecriptions are subject to your doctor's advice and appropriate to your health status. We do not permit food from outside to be brought into the hospital. Smoking and alcohol use are forbidden in the hospital premises.

JJIMS HOSPITALS have areas designated for prayer and cater to major relious faiths such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism etc. Our International patients service departments can guide you on this.

Payment Process

  • Wire Transfer: RTGS (Bank transfer into the hospital account) Transfer money directly from your bank account to JJIMS Hospitals account– it takes about seven working days for the funds to be credited. Send us the scanned copy of the money transfer receipt; this will be used to help you settle your bill. On discharge, any excess amount will be refunded to you and any shortfall will have to be paid in cash.

    • We will send you our bank details on request
    • The transferred amount cannot be used for bill settlement unless you provide us with a copy of the wire transfer receipt
  • Direct payment:

    At the hospital: pay your hospital bill at the hospital directly through cash, card, or traveller’s cheques

    • We accept payment for inpatient services in the following currencies: US Dollar, Euro, Pound Sterling, Omani Riyal, UAE Dirham, Kuwait Dinar, Saudi Riyal and Singapore dollars

Discharge Process

Your primary consultants will inform the date of your discharge. At the time of discharge your nursewill detail you on the treatment / surgery that you have had and on the medication that you have to take, follow-up requirements if any and finally will hand over all your medical investigation reports/X- ray/MRI/other scan images and medicines.

You can write to our International Patients Division on your progress and they will help you keep in touch with your doctors at JJIMS Hospitals . Do mention your hospital registration number in all your communications with the hospital.
